Alfreton Road junction re-opens after crash in Radford

Police had to direct traffic on a busy junction after a road collision in Radford left two cars damaged.

The incident occurred on Tuesday 13 November around 1:45pm, on the junction between Alfreton Road, Radford Road and Gregory Boulevard.

Police were called to the scene, where they had to direct traffic by themselves, as one of the damaged cars was blocking the middle of the junction.

No one was injured in the crash.

Witness Richard Boffin, 29, from Hinckley said he saw the collision happen as he was driving, and gave a statement to the police.

PC Hannah Turnbell-Tilley from Nottinghamshire Police said: “We’ve been called to an RTC between two vehicles.

“We’ve managed to keep the traffic flowing, keep everything moving, and now the scene is cleared.”
